If we recall any incident which happened in the past if we try to know the reason why i got hurt or why it made me feel bad so we will get to know its because either of 'I', Me' and 'My'. A cancer patient could be cured but the one who has diesase of 'Ego' can never be cured, its more life threating than a disease like cancer . We often feel that if we do not show the attitude world will take us for granted & we should treat the person accordingly , I agree that being kind and nice to someone does not mean that you will let that person to walk all over you , You have to draw a line in order to maintain your peace of mind & dignity but ego is different its harmful and at each and every point our ego comes out and it compels us not to being grounded , It says loudly in our mind " I do exist"
Time keeps on changing ; Fame , Power,Money,Position,Status nothing will last ever but the love and care we are sharing with other will be in memories forever though we give these things secondary importance , primary inportance is to all the materialist things which are futile . We have so many masks on our face even we ourselves get confused which is true ; We keep on changing our behaviour we are grounded to the person who is superior in terms of power & staus while we are rude when we are dealing with a low status person we forget we all our human. Destiny & Karma are different hence someone is at high & other one is at low level because of our past karma might be today we are at something & tomorrow we could be somewhere else depends on what we are reaping today because its to be said "We have come alone & we would go alone but i don't agree i firmly believe we came along with our karma & while going we will take new karmas along with us" hence we should now concentrate what we will take at the end so be grounded , be humble .
